Stop the Killing
It doesn't work and it's a waste of tax payers money !

Killing doesn’t work Killing doesn’t work

MDDB totally opposes the killing of Malaysian street dogs. There is no effective way in doing this. Whether dogs are continued to be butchered in broad day light or put down in municipal pounds. The methods are not only unsustainable but are a waste of tax payers money.

Municipal councils have come to realise that it’s a labour intensive process and have resorted to “cheaper” means such as poisoning. However this method is indiscriminate in it’s approach, there have been cases where pets have fallen victim to this approach.

Some untrained public health workers have resorted to a “one bullet, one dog policy” to keep cost down. Often these the dogs are left to die an agonizing death in full view of the public.

The only real solution is to prevent these dogs from breeding and re-homing them with responsible pet owners. Killing never makes good publicity, it’s a really good way to turn tourist and visitors away from your area
